I know this question is probably stupid but I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the livescan is and what it stands for? What the E-quip is and what it stands for also the PTA????? Can you also do these things all at one time when you go for your interview?
Up_On_Base

E-qip = SF 86 national security forms.
Livescan = fingerprints
PTA = PT test, push/sit/pull ups and 1.5 mile run.

So when does everyone on here think they will start calling off the new list??? I broke out a timeline and usually they give you about a month's notice prior to reporting. Then you have about two weeks of improcessing prior to academy start date. I would hope that they would be calling soon but what do you guys think? Classes that I have heard about for sure are June 22 and July 6.

I heard the next classes start June 22 and Aug 11. I have a good friend that finished Phase 1 last week. Said from what they are told that they are only running one class at a time. Can any FAMS verify this???

I am sure this will have zero impact in new FAMS, they need good people to fill the vacancies and have the funding to hire those people.
I hope the new person can fight the DHS machine for more money so we can all get hired.

You are going to have to redue it on the e-QUIP website. I too had mine complete on the AVUE website. If you open AVUE and e-QUIP in different tabs, you can reference one to the other.

They have to contact your current job for an IA check before they offer you a position so be prepared. I had to call my boss on his day off because HQ wanted a call from him within 24 hours about a reference and IA check. He was not to happy.

Good copy.
I left LE in 06 so they will contact my old agency for IA. I wonder if they will my current employer (private sector).
I know for my USSS background they only contacted current employer if they offered final employment...whatever I want the job so I am sure I can handle the uncomfortable situation for a few days/weeks.

this could be BAD news. Dana Brown took care of us and changed alot of the old policys to make it better for us. If the guy under Dana Brown takes the job then we are going to be in big trouble. The guy under Brown is a guy named Byers and he is just like Tom Quinn (old director). I bet it wont be long that we will be back to wearing suits on flights again, them telling us where we have to sleep and making us cut our hair and shave like we are in the army. I have a bad feeling now that Dana Brown is leaving!

"Contingent Offer Letter
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
I had the phone interview 2-3 weeks ago and I just got this email this morning. I followed the link and had to accept or decline the offer. Next I filled in some bio data on a form that is sent to the security office."
1) Did anyone else submit bio data immediately after accepting their COE?
2) I still have not received an email re: BI and fingerprints. Does this mean I am not considered qualified?
3) My recruiter stated that the group (PTA attendees) should hear "something" by May 15th. He didn't expand much beyond that. Does this date ring any bells? As it gets closer, I feel my chances slipping away.
:(
4) Has anyone received "the call" before doing fingerprints or e-QIP forms?

Actually, I haven't submitted any bio data for the new announcement yet... I had a flurry of activity from early March to late April and then nothing.
4/10 - phone interview
4/22 - Panel & drug test
4/26 - PTA & written tests
I will breath a lot easier once I get an email to fill out the e-QIP and do my prints. How soon after your written test did you get an email to do your BI forms on OPM?
Just so I understand, if you are selected for the next class, you will be contacted no later than May 15, 2008?

That is what I was told as a ballpark offer period for my group in DC, the group you were in may be different. I dont think it is a cutoff date. I think they will make calls off and on for the next two months. If you dont get a call this week I would not worry about it in the least

The recruiter for our group said that, "you should hear something by

Guys,
Over the course of these postings, there has been a bunch of speculation, guessing, mis-interpretation, and some wrong information, none of which I am sure has been intentional. When there is not a significant amount of information given regarding everyone's standings, this is a reasonable expectation. However, I am certain that given the track record for timelines from Avue thusfar, a cut off date does not seem to be a reasonable expectation. Hang in there, our calls will come.....

I did my PTA (EWR FO) on 4/25 and got the email for e-qip early May.
I am not sure if there is any rhyme/reason for this (or any federal LE) process, some people move fast, others slow.
For my UD process it was 2.5 years, some other guys in my class were 6 months.

I asked the lady and she said that all of the 13 FOs on the announcment will getting new hires. Some will only get a few. Good luck to everyone out there.
Congratulations, keep us posted :D

I am former FLEO so I already completed FLETC, I am thinking they are calling non FLETC grads first to get that training knocked out.
Hopefully...the rest of us will get a call in the next couple of weeks. There is no point to repeat the first phase of training, I sent my FLETC and college transcripts in w/ my package.

There should be alot of folks getting the call for DC this week. The FO has 2 days setup next week for all-day medicals. Everyone that processed out of DC should stand by if you are finished with everything.

Yep.
No point sitting around in a FO for a few weeks waiting for AC training/phase 2. It would make sense to add people to the phase 2 groups, FLETC can only handle so many people, there is probably more flexability in AC in regards to numbers.

I'm a fellow FLEO waiting on phase 2 also. That makes more sense why calls are going out to phase 1 candidates. Judging by the timeline of a June, July phase 1 class there should be a Aug, Sept Phase 2.
(Again this is only my .2 cents, nothing has been put out or confirmed)
I'm gonna look at it as when the call comes, the call comes.
Good Luck everyone.

I would take Detroit over Newark or SF any day. Both are too expensive. Jersey is broke and SF is full of weirdos. Also you can get a nice, big house for a great price within a short drive of the airport. Can't do that in some of the other FOs.

Quite true Bama you can get a nice big house close to the airport. Except in the other areas you don't have to worry about getting robbed or shot while getting the mail. Granted, I don't think I could do Newark either. I am quite content with DC since Charlotte was not possible.:D

NJ gets a bad rep, it's not that bad but is very expensive.
My wife is from Bergen Co, her parents have small 3bd place that is going to 600K and taxes are high. We moved to DC area a few years ago, it's not much better here and traffic is worse here than NYC area.
If you live in Monmoth Co by the shore the cost of living is better and only 1/2 hour to EWR...also Morristown is nice area and NJ has great schools for those of us w/ kids. If you can afford it, the Hoboken area is great for young guys. Easy access to NYC and the women are awesome...ahh to be young again!

In the Hoboken area about 400K http://www.weichert.com/search/realestate/SearchResults.aspx?cityid=23530&maxpr=470&minbr=2&minba=1.5&mls=44%2c21&cmg=1
or if you rent 2300+.
For a decent house in good area plan to spend atleast 400ish and up.
When we were looking around in the DC area it was very similar to NJ, we ended up 20+ miles north of Balt. I worked w/ guys who would drive 80 miles each way from WV to the White House. Most guys drove 40+ miles each way...all the big cities in the NE are expensive if you want a decent area for your family.

You are on the money about DC. Too much traffic and too damn many people. It's funny how all of the FOs that need poeple the most have the highest cost of living. There's never a big shortage of people in Charlotte, Dallas, Houston, Orlando or Atlanta.

After you pass the phone interview you will be called to set a time and date for an oral board/panel interview. They called about two weeks after the px interview. After the panel you they will invite you to take the PTA if you did well. When you go back for the PTA you will take two written exams and a narcotics urine evaluation. Hope this helps out some. Well, hopefully I will have to worry about moving somewhere. But, I'm a bit nervous about adjusting to the cost of living on either coast. I'm used to the midwest cost of living and it is a bit scary to jump up to $400,000+ houses. A $400k house here would be huge, with many bells and whistles.
Thanks for the information, I will definintely keep it in mind!!! :)

Some are already fed leo so they will not get the call until later, some will go to the next academy because they only can take so many people at the one in July, and some will pass everything but the hiring panel and will never get the call. At the pta the guy said there is a must hire group, hire group and BQA and you wont know which group your in unless you get the call or get a BQA letter in a few months, just my opinion. it is way to early to get worried with a few training cycles left this year. I know a guy who got hired in 4 months and a guy who got hired in a year and a half, both had almost the exact same qualifications, luck of the draw

All right only a couple people on the board have gotten the call for this Mass medical that’s supposed to happen next week in DC. I guess Officer.com only has a small contingent of candidates posting then right because I would have thought BAMA's List would have a lot more red on it by now???? Any thoughts
This is true because there are guys who applied with me and have been selected and they do not post on this board....I will say this though....Many, many, many people who post here or have posted here have been selected!!!

I think the above is very accurate, there are sooooo many factors in getting "the call". There is a limited amount of people FLETC/AC can train and that depends alot on funding...the new FY start this fall.
Other factors - Previous LE experience, hooks, panel results (critical), BI, previous FLETC cert, FO, etc...all play a role in getting picked up. I know a ton of guys who applied to the USSS-UD and didn't get the call, these men were 1000X better than some of my counterparts, it's all luck of the draw sometimes and getting the right reference.
Bottom line -- Don't stress about the call, if God wants it to happen it will...although he might make you wait.

Has anyone on this forum bought back their military time from a federal agency? If so, what is the cost to purchase, what is the benefit, and when should you do it? I heard the sooner you purchase the cheaper it is. And I also heard if you purchase your time it will increase your retirement multiplier. If there is anyone that is able to advise let me know.

Even in the biggest offices there is usually only one FAM detailed to a JTTF and these people are usually detailed for a year and are usually former 1811's.

Thanks! Well I was also looking at pay scales and I know that we are on the SV system. Then I looked at the locality pay table for GS LEO and could not figure out what grade or step we start at. Can someone help me with this, especially since I am going back home to LA from Dallas!!! I was estimating from 50,000 starting what the locality pay looks like.

I did the same thing by only selecting Orlando. The recruiter told me that there were only a handfull of positions in ORL and I would be backing myself in the corner by only selecting one area. He advised me to go back into AVUE and add a few locations. You can do this at anytime. So I added PHL & DC to my application. Hope this helps you out. By the way terminal D in PHL has some of the best pizza I had in a long time. (King of Pizza) One of those fringe benifits if you get PHL.

I have given this job a lot of thought and still keep coming back with the question, WHY ?
Is this job a great position ?
I once had a job where I had to commute from NJ (Newark airport) to Kansas City for a little over a year. Fly to KC on last flight Sun and back to NJ 5PM flight out of KC on Fridays.
Because of mileage awards I was able to upgrade myself to first class, and this was Pre 9/11 so the food was OK.
BUT man was I happy to get another job assignment !
I keep thinking of sitting in coach for long stretchs of a long day that starts very early in the day.
You will be constantly exposed to germs from sick babies, awful if non-existant food, someone in front of you racking back his seat into your kneecaps, and someone next to you that wants to "talk".
You can't wear BOSE noise cancelling headphones, you can't take your coat off to expose your firearm, and you can't go to sleep.
I think I would rather have the vacumn getting coins out of the parking meters, at least you get to move and smell fresh air.
But that's just me.....

HHAHAHAHAHA......you guys are great...thanks for the help. I love this forum and I really can not wait to meet some of you guys on our long, boring *** flights! I wanted this job because every other person in my family is currently in the airlines as pilots. I am a bit of an ultra patriot and it really hurt me to watch 9/11 on tv when I was a student in college and feel like there was nothing I could do. So I walked down to the recruiting station and joined the Army, just like my grandfather had after Pearl Harbor.....Anyways, I want you all to know that there will be days that we will hate, but I got that now as a cop. It will just be the same problems in different disguises but I don't see those as being more important than the job that I will be doing. For me, what makes this job so appealing is the fact that I know that if some radical sitting in seat 5A wants to try and get froggy, he will be leaving seat 5A with a new pair of eyes! Keep up the good work on this forum and let's all hurry up and get to coach!

If your desire is to "double tap" someone for 9/11, may I suggest the US Army Rangers or USMC ground or SEALS.
You are far more likely to have the chance than the Southwest Air flight from Omaha to Little Rock.

Well my friend I was kidding and using a little exageration but thanks....I already did my time in the US ARMY from 2002-2006 and have gotten all the "double tapping" that I need out of me!!!! That is what our job entails though should the situation ever present itself....You kind of sound like some of the officers I work with who here about an Officer involved shooting and then say " Well that stuff doesn't happen around here or He wouldn't have the chance to shoot at me". Come on man I was using a far flung example....I know what the job consists of on a day to day basis. It's the point that counts.

I am very curious if and when some Air Marshall has in fact fired a shot within an aircraft IN FLIGHT ?
I find it hard to belive that you could be allowed to use noise cancelling earphones or sleep on duty. So that you would not be aware of the situation on board for your assigned flights.
Is that true ? Even if allowed, which I doubt, how could you in good conscience do something that would put your flight at risk ?
Perhaps the seats wouldn't be a problem for most, I am 6-4, 310 and in shape.
Don't think I am denigrating the job, just looking for the consensus of reason from those looking at the job. I am looking at many different LE jobs, and the who, what, where, when of the jobs are of interest in making my decisions.
I am not an officer, although my Brother is at USNA.

Bigwill -
I think I understand your points.
You are correct that FAMS is not a classic "kick in the door, lights, sirens, etc. agency". But FAMS does offer excellent training, benefits, travel, and other opps that standard police agencies don't.
There are many different forms of Police work...Traffic, Narc, Security/Protection, Vice, etc.
The problem with FAMS/USSS/NSA Police/USCP is that many applicants don't understand the mission, most of these people are better suited for traditional police work. You need to find the correct fit for you/family to make it work or you will be looking for a new job in 18 months.

And that's the problem I see as well....
Most folks think that being a FAM would be a great gig.....as they get to show off their cool Creds to buddies back home....fly all over the place....get some fairly decent training.....and make decent money...
They forget that 99.9% of the time they are going to be flying....not doing ANY type of LE work, arguing with the airline folks, waiting @ a Airport for hours because of weather issues, eating crappy food at the Airport, not being able to go places once they land because they have such an early show-time the next morning, being around all kinds of other miserable people, etc.....
FAM's is what it is.......
I have several buddies that just absolutely love it (one is married as well) and talk about staying around for a while.....others are looking to get the hell out.....as fast as they can......

In the government, if the job reequires a physical...you wouldn't get a [B]final [B] offer letter until after the physical is approved. Locality is always included in salary for anyone in the GS system or the Core Compensation from the first day of employment. (unless out of conus of course)

You guys have no clue what you are getting yourselves into. Do any of you actually think that you will be doing anything but flying all the time? Before you all jump me I do like my job. But all I have done in close to seven years is flying 4-5 days a week. For you family guys this job will take a toll. I had three kids since being a FAM and I have missed just about every mile stone, for example: 1st steps, 1st words, etc.
I hope you guys did not take the job description literally. The job description states we do all kinds of cool stuff but the truth is you will not do any of it unless you are on JTTF. I am so used to this job that I am numb when I get to the airport. I have my routine and I get off 9-10 hours later. Hotels are my second home and I see my kids maybe 3 days out of the week. The agency in 7 years has made 5 real arrests and if you do make one the FBI will take your case from you.
All I am saying is that you will get paid the big bucks for that one second you may have to actually work in 20 years as a FAM. I want each and every one of you guys who get the job to PM me after 6 months of flying and then you will see what I am talking about.
Good luck guys and I will see you up there!

What you said is a good honest opinion of what the job is on a day to day basis. Currently, I am a LEO in a medium sized mid-west city and almost every day of my career has been the same boring routine that an average person could handle. I typically work 1 or 2 accidents a day (it is amazing how people cannot drive), take a couple theft reports or forgeries because someone stole their check book and the local grocery store cashed it without ID (even though I have to give them a DNA test to pass a check in uniform), write a couple tickets and then I will spend the rest of my shift report writing because I am down several reports from the last few days and they are no longer giving out overtime because of the "budget crisis".
But, I still love my job and look forward to going to work everyday. I have just reached the time in my career where I am ready to do something else. I love flying and I love law enforcement so I am looking forward to the career change and moving away from here. The threat against our country and airlines is not going away anytime soon and this job is one where I feel I can hopefully make a difference in the fight.
Anyone with three or more years of experiences knows there are not many jobs in law enforcement (local or federal) where you are not going to be bored on occassion or frustrated with the lack of action. The most important thing is to be ready when the action comes and act.

Same story I hear from my buddies. The one I quoted on salary just came back from a overseas flight and will be doing them for another couple of weeks or so....
During that time, he's missing his sons 8th Grade Graduation, his son's baseball games, and his daughter learning to walk better....
He basically has told me he has no chance in his office to get a JTTF slot due to others already sliding into office slots and lining up for them.....
He is one of the 5 listed above that actually made an arrest....but that's been it. He rode with me a couple years back when I was on the road full time.....and just kinda sighed.....as I was doing stuff he wasn't....
As I said folks....the job is what it is...... If you think you are going to be arresting terrorist.....or stopping things....you will be sadly mistaken.....

You are all very right! Obviously everyone here grasps the nature of the job we will be doing on a day to day basis, but remember this. A new president will be in office soon with a new administration. The country itself is at odds with each other about how to continue the war on terrorism. No one thought that 9/11 would happen the way it did (well very few) and look what happened. Only the good Lord knows the future and for any of us to assume it would be wrong. I have a very close family member that is in the CIA. He is about to retire and we as a family know nothing of what he has been doing the last 30 years. I can tell you that though he keeps to himself on matters such as those we discuss every day, he has told me that something worse than 9/11 is coming. It is only a matter of time. How it will come will be decided by two groups of people. Terrorists and people like us.
It is not the pay, or the traveling, or any other like reason that I want to do this job. I want to do it because of pride in my country and to know that just maybe men like us will make a difference in the future if no other way than by deterring through prescence those who wish to harm us. I dont have to make an arrest to know that I accomplish my mission. This country is the last bastion of hope against radical Islam. Europe, Asia, and Africa have failed. This was is going to get ugly and continue for years to come. We must always be ready, because if we are not then we are doome to see another 9/11.
Now that my rant is over I will say that dealing with bad food, annoying travelers, long lay overs, smart *** airline employees and the such will take a toll as will the lost time with family. My hope is that the future will bring changes for the good to FAMS. I also want to finish my degree and give my wife space to concentrate on medical school next year. With all that said I wish everyone here the best. Everyone has their dislikes and interests. Just make sure you want to do this job for the right reason and you will be fine. If you do tire of it then add it to your resume and do what you are doing now, apply to get a job.;)

So last night I'm with a group of old friends (VCSOMotor91 being one of them) out eating dinner, having some drinks and telling war stories when I feel my phone vibrate in my pocket. I pull out my phone and see the "703" call that I have been waiting for!! My heart stops. Now as I look at the number on my phone, two thoughts go racing through my head...Oh crap, I've been drinking and Oh crap, he is going to hear my drunk friends in the background.
At that time I had only a couple drinks with my dinner, so I decided I better answer it instead letting it go to voice mail. Without saying a word to anyone at the table, I jump out of my chair and start running through the restaurant to get out the front door. I answer it as I'm about to get outside and what do I hear....VCSOMotor91 say, "Hey it's me you can come back and sit down." I turn around and the whole table is laughing.
Earlier when we had just got to the restaurant, VCSOMotor91 asked to look at my new cell phone for a second. While I wasn't looking he changed his contact name to "703" so he could call me later. If he would have kept it going, he could have had me outside for more than an hour saying yes sir and no sir.
So if you know any other FAM applicants waiting for the call and you access to their phone...This is a funny prank you can do.
Good one VCSOMotor91!! Just remember...payback is coming! :D

Thats just wrong!!!!!!!lol
I worked for a Federal Law Enforcement Agency before I have been hired on with FAM. So here it goes, All the numbers in the office if you call my cell phone come up UNKOWN so getting called from work when off or even when I am working is nerve racking. So, one night Im in my little off space listening to some music and chatting with a buddy and my phone rings. UNKNOWN it says. My heart starts beating out of my chest thinking its the call that I have been biting my nails to the bone for. Hello I say, It says back This is John Smith with the Federal Air Marshal Service, My heart stops for a second and then I hear "You have been chosen for the position of gotcha"....................my friend decided to pull that prank...............I was
so mad......So I believe in Karma,,,,,lol
Around Three weeks Later got the real call, but I was still in questioning mode due to the prank, so I called the number back that I was given, right away to confirm........

I haven't posted in awhile, but intheair is pretty acurate on his day I would assume. Most of us know what he is talking about, but are you okay with it I think is his point. I have been in law enforcement in some way or another since I graduated high school (and no volunteer stuff, getting paid to do it). I have had my chance to see the dead bodies, play with the drunks, see the crack heads, and have all the fun with that. Can I leave it, and sit on plane waiting for a time that will more than likely never come? (yes, I know it CAN come, and we need to be ready for it, but chances of it being YOU with the plane you are on is pretty low. That being said you have to pretend like it is coming). Yes, I can. But, again, I have done the kick in the door stuff before. I don't work in the worlds biggest city, and I have never been one to say I ahve the best cop stories, but I have had my share. I have seen both the good and the bad. I have pointed my gun at people, and taken the bad men to jail. I have also had to listen to children tell me how they have been raped. If I was selected for this job, intheair is right, after about 6 months I am going to miss the streets, it is a part of me, and a part of a lot of us. But, I miss the town where I grew up too, and I like to go visit, but i'm not moving back. We all need to take a few minutes, and put the "im doing it this for my country" and "but when I am needed" away. Intheair is right, you will miss most of your family stuff, and you will fly, fly, and then fly. Think of that day when you are in Europe, and you get a phone call that someone close to you has died. Mother, Father, god forbid spouse or child. At my current job, I can drop everything, come home, and handle what needs handled. Even if it is just medical and not death. Hard to do that when you are in Europe in the middle of a 3 or 4 day international trip. I am not trying to be a bummer here, just you got to see what these current guys are saying. Everyone wants to be ready when the terrorist come, and save the good ol' USA, includign that guy who quit so you could try to get hired. You have to look at both sides, the best (prestige, money, travel, chance to be a hero if it comes) and the worst (family stress, body stress from travel, probably be a faceless drone on a plane with a lot of training that never gets put to use) and realize that most of our experience will come somewhere in the middle. If you want that life, instead of the one you have now, and are going to be okay with the consequences, then go for it. I am not sure, but, I think these are some of the things intheair is trying to get us to see. Lets be honest, if I miss a good thing, it sucks but I can be okay with that. When my wifes Dad dies, and I am half a world away and can't be there to console her, that will be much harder for me to deal with. And, that scenario is a very real possibility.

I was thinking about this post today, we all need to be a little more careful sharing information on an open forum. Good job by GWARDEN234 not posting dates online.
We are all excited to "get the call' but we don't need to post what FO and report dates so anyone can read.
In this crazy world we call the internet (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f99PcP0aFNE) sometimes it's easy to forget that you don't really know the person that is your internet friend.

I was actually referring to "I am starting at FO "X" on Monday, then report to FLETC on "X".
I agree, naming your FO is not a big deal but dates/times should be avoided if possible.

Blue, when I was at my PT/UA/Video tests in Orlando, the FAMS there said eventually. They said they weren't sure how long it was going to take to get everybody through the 1811 training, but that it was going to happen . It would make it easier for FAMS to transfer to another agency. Not that anyone would want to leave FAMS, lol.

I doubt you will ever see FAMS get their 1811. There was much talk about it when I was with them. But the cost of putting the large number of FAMS through the training probably won't happen. That and the fact that most of what they would investigate is terrorism which FBI is the main agency involving that, and they sure as hell won't give that up. If anything remotely close to terrorism happens on the plane, even with FAMS on it, FBI will be waiting at the gate for them to get off. Wouldn't hold your breath on that one. There was a little talk of adding a sudo CI portion to training, but that never happened either.

I'm definitely not holding my breath, I'm just putting what the FAMS told me. They actually told the 14 people that were there for testing. After reading this thread, its probably not going to happen, but hey you never know. Hope for the best but don't expect anything!

Hello, I'm new here. I had a phone interview with the Miami office back in March. Received a COE a few weeks later. I've not heard anything since :(. From what I've read here seems as if most of the people that have received an EOD reapplied when the new announcement came out, right now it is hurry and wait.

I completed my last "2nd" Tests on April 18th. I ran the Mile at 6:12 and the Mile and a half at 9:32.
Last time I talked to the agent, said that none of his applicants were on the June list and he heard that it was only other FO applicants were being selected. I am hoping that I can get an offer by August 1 for my FO of application. I am just waiting on the call!

Not sure if anyone has mentioned it yet, has anyone heard anything out of the FO? I've done the phone interview (late March), and received the COL (April), but nothing since.

I know of a couple offers including mine and they range including leap and cola 60k to 75 k depending what you have to offer, you can negotiate but if you do they will not make you an offer that day after the physical because they have to clear a renegotiation of salary with the directer so they send you home without a job. I would think the director has better things to do then listen to hr tell them about a dude who wants more money when the 40000 guys behind him or her will take the job regardless of pay so be carefull if you renegotiate and be prepared for a major let down when you dont here back from them ever. I heard in the past they would add maybe two grand a year back in the day during the ramp up but now roll the dice and pay the price

I'm new to this site but I've been reading these FAM threads for over a month. What is obvious here are differences is the hiring process. The following has been my process so far:
Applied-2/08
COE-3/08
Telephone Interview-4/08
Panel Interview-4/08
PTA, Written Tests, Drug Test-4/08
Told my packet was sent to Washington-5/08
What I noticed is, is that I haven't been requested to send my E-qip nor fingerprints. Is this an issue or is this normal?
Also, I would appreciate if I could everyones collective insight and opinion. I have seven years military experience. I have three years active Army in a combat arms MOS and four as an administration specialist in the National Guard and I'm a VA 10% disabled vet. I'm currently in officer candidate school with a BA degree but no LE experience. I'm currently an operations manager in a major fitness company. All of this all sounds good but by no means am I complacent about the hiring process. It seems that there's no distinct pattern in what type of applicant is hired. With all of this said, what do you think my chances are? Thanks everyone.

Are you current FLEO?
**Disregard...just read your info**
Congrats...NJ is good times.
Just a heads up, calls are going out for EWR FO. I don't have prior FLETC, but got the "703" call. Up_On_Base, I think we interviewed the same day, did you get a call?

I've been reading this thread for awhile now and just joined the forum. I don't have any LE or military experience and I was suprised I made it as far as I did in the process. Here's my timeline (pretty standard):
1/08-Applied
3/08-Phone interview
4/08-COE
5/08-Written tests, BI, PTA, drug test, fingerprints
I get my degree in June and I'm hoping I hear something sometime after that.
Congratulations to everyone who's gotten hired and good luck to everyone waiting.

Nope no call yet.
I know of one person who has previous FLETC that got the call so far, it has been several years since he attended MBPTP and has left the Feds. Therefore he might have to go back to re-certify, still waiting on that confirmation .
I really hope (if I get the call) that I won't have to spend any time in Artesia...that place is a dump.
Looks like they are calls are going out in FO clusters, still no NYC and limited EWR calls???
