Deputy Jerry Ortiz, end of watch 6-24-05. Killed tonight while trying to interview a witness in Hawaiian Gardens, CA.

Tragedy strikes twice. Jan 2005, deputy Ortiz's brother in law was killed on duty also, he was a correctional officer and was stabbed to death. God bless the ortiz family and clan.

That's some bull**** right there :mad:

Gotta love being a police officer I guess.. Everyone hates you (stereotypical) but everyone needs you and wants to to put your life on the line if necessary.

Can't think of many other jobs like that..
