Well Pelican Bay, we at Corcoran have sent you guys some pretty bad cons over the years. I retired from CSPC a couple of years ago. I don't miss the daily garbage and politics, but do miss some of the great staff I worked with. Watch your back and your partners back and be safe.

Hey much respect for the Pelican Bay worker. Are you on the Squad? Sounds like you earn the $$ there.

graydog,
yeah C.S.P.Cor and P.B.S.P. have swapped some real winners. when I was in the academy, i remember hearing about an incident that happened during visiting at C.S.P.Cor. i guess an inmate punched a cop in the face just out of the blue. after a struggle the i/m was able to take his baton away. a responding cop was met with a baton across the face. the i/m was subdued by the next group of cops. reading something like that can infuriate someone. i know my comrades and i were.
breakinchains,
no, i'm not on the squad. the last time they were looking for someone, i only had about four or five months in and had not completed probation yet. i would love to work on the squad at P.B.S.P. from what they say, you stay busy, its proactive, and thats what i like. i plan on transfering down south, so maybe i'll get a chance there. by the way, how many prisons does oregon have. which is the closest to the brookings-crscent city area? i kinda want to do a tour before i move.
everybody,
stay safe, and thanks for the comments!

Best advice I can give you is use common sense, don't have grudges against inmates, save your pen for worthwhile tagets (don't be petty), keep your word, be objective, be fair but firm, don't put inmate's family in your business, keep your temper to a minimum, obey orders even though they seem stupid, relieve your partners early, pay back your swaps, be ON TIME, don't snivel too much, and NEVER trust an inmate. Ok? OH YA.....CYA!
