i will be taking the civil service exam on 6/20 and was wondering if there was any one else on here thats taking it? also if you work for this department or know of it post any comments you have.

do you know anything about the deparment? benefits, pay scale, etc..?

I think they are around 35k to start and top out in high 40's. Lots of side jobs available. Nice department, you get all kinds of stuff since you are close to Akron. My department uses Cuyahoga Falls court, so I run into these guys quite a bit.

yes you can bring one which is nice.. I have taken a test for another city that didnt allow them and the passing score was 70 i wonder if thats why this one its 75 since you can use them..

well i thought i would bring this back to life since the results are being mailed out. i got a 91 (without bonus points) rank 106 not to good of a rank but i move on to the pa test so i guess thats good.im trying to get my hands on the new cba so i can find out all the details of this department i have the old one but it expired a couple of months ago. well if you took this test and would like to talk about it feel free to post...

CFPD is a changing department. They have broken up there K-9 handler, actually retired the dog, and got rid of there cops in the school program. Rumor is their chief is trying to make a name for himself. ALso, they got rid of there comp time program, and the officers are paid overtime to go to court....this just hurts the members from getting time off......Overall the officers are very professional and good cops.. Seems like the younger cops are looking elsewhere...they say the city is broke

wow i thought that was the end of this thread thanks for the info i didnt know about those changes. i havent heard from them. about a year ago i talked to an LT who said they take 30 a time to process and that they usually go though the whole list before it expires im surpsied i havent heard from them yet but it maybe do to the changes you mentioned. what department do you work for? do you know of any deparments in NE ohio that are hiring soon? fell free to email me..
