It's fairly simple. You will do a trigger pull with both hands, a standing long jump (you need to be able to jump a distance equal to your height), one lap in the pool, a vehicle push, obstacle course and half-mile run. The swim portion is done separately from the rest of the exam.

Are there time limits on any of the P/A tests (half-mile, obstacle course, etc..)

The obstacle course has to be done in two minutes or less, I believe it is 12 or 15 stations, been several years since I did it b4 I got hired. The run has to be done in less than 5 minutes. BOTH are easy times.

IF you go to the academy the O-course needs to be completed in 1:20, and the run in 3:30.

I have my appointment set for the 18th of Sept, for the CJBAT and the PAT over at BCC, I understand the obstacle course, trigger pull, car push, but the swiming? what will they have me do, tread water? how many laps? float? what?

thanks in advance.

I did all the testing down there. I think the swimming is the hardest, you have to swim in pants and a shirt, could be any pair of pants you want. I found that if a person was to fail it would be the swim test, 1 lap of the pool. Wear pants that fit and will not fall off your ***** so you dont constantly have to pull them up while swimming.
I passed all but towards the end of the swim test I was having doubts if I could make it a little further.
