What are the possiblities of getting a police job anywhere in the country, or in security if you have a 4th degree felony from NJ on your record. A friend of mine plead guilty to falsifying records and got a year probation. He was going to take a promotion test for a friend, signed in at the test center but left and never took it. But when he signed as the other person on goverment record that was the end of it all.. He was an 8 year police veteran. He made a mistake, where does he go from here?? all those years of training down the drain? Can it be expunged? Is there any way out or back into somthing close to this field? anywhere???

any suggestions email me at kcardinali2000@yahoo.com

Thanks and be safe!!

Almost without exception, most Police departments will not accept candidates with a Felony conviction for training. Note that I said MOST, not all.

Your friend must look at the job posting announcement to see about disqualifying factors before applying at any department. But if he is an eight year veteran as you claim, he probably already knows that.
