ok heres the thing, ive been in a psych type setting as a voluntary admittance due to abuse from ex spouse and depression stemming from that.... now, a few yrs later i am absolutaly 100 percent feeling so much better and just ready to get my life on track, join the PD, etc, its been a lifelong dream of mine and i don't want this crap from my past to get in the way, as long as i havent been baker acted/ involuntary how do you all suggest i go about this? im not really sure whether to stick with the dont ask dont tell way of thinking or be honest but tell them i'm doing great now and see if theyll let me thru to the psych test and wow the psych people then... any advice? :eek:
