Which way to go????

I am planning on getting out of the Marine Corps in a year and go home to Florida and pursue a career in LE, but I have the oppurtunity to reenlist for EOD. Am I better off getting out now or doing another four years and get specialty training???

EOD training is nice, but it won't be all that useful in getting you hired. It MAY be useful at some other point in your career, but just like your USMC career, it's a specialty you break into after you learn police work.

If you're going to stay for another four, consider staying 'til retirement. Otherwise, most cop shops I know need cops now, because we have so many reserve and guard troops deployed. It's a good time to be looking for a LE job.
