Ho far do the police dept BI go into your background,Don`t get me wrong i have nothing to hide.I`m 39y/o been working as a paramedic since 1991,do they go as far as teen years/junior high school/elementry school, need some insight into the background procedures. :)

Each agency is different. Mine goes to your first year of high school or ten years, which ever is longer. Some go to elementary school regardless. Some want every house you've ever lived in and every job you've ever had. Ask; they should be happy to tell you.

You should also be prepared for some very personal and in-depth questions, going all the way back to when you were a young pup. For me, they went as far back to high school. :)
