Description: Full time deputy sheriff position for a rural county. Experience in law enforcement is required, POST certification is desired. Must have good rapport with the citizens of the county and be able to provide general law enforcement. Requires verbal and written communication skills and physical capability to perform the full range of postural, strength, and physical demands. Will provide prisoner security and safety at the county jail and during transportation to court appearances, mental evaluations, rehab centers, juvenile detention, court order prison, extradition by air or auto to outside jurisdiction.
