When I was in jr. high my dad spoiled me: built a corral and bought me some horses; I spent a lot of time out there and got very comfortable around them.
I used to jump on their backs when they were out grazing and chase the colts around..I'm surprised i never got bucked off or had the **** kicked out of me.

he he...I've had the crap kicked out of me .. been rolled on. stepped on.
And my ex and I had 120 head of cattle. So when it came time to vaccinate and band.. I got to be the one who pushed them up the chutes.. I got kicked WAY too many times. Of course the board I kept in my hand did a lot of whacking the cows, too after they kicked me.

LOL ok so I get to work grab lunch at the cafe have my boss open the office so I can eat and not be at the lobby. well I noticed when I came in the golf cart we use to patrol sitting in its usuall spot. Well I eat start my shift, supervisor leaves I go to start patrolling the garage and walk out its gone. So thinking that him and the Building engineer are playing a trick on me ... whic wouldnt have surprised me. I walk around the entire building to the first 2 levels of the garage called my supervisor and asked what he did with it?? well needless to say no one really knew where it was so was told to call the PD. I'm thinking great.. I am soo going to be the laugh of the night for the TPD. so I call me and the officer walk around he says did you check the upper level I said only the first 2 so far. well he drives up and there it is on the 4th level parked by the Eleveators and no one knows how it got there. Now the keys were still around my neck and there was no damage :confused: :eek: wierd. Then my boss calls me back to make sure everything was fine and proceeds to tell me that A man stabbed his wife who works on our building and is in stable condition but he is still on the loose and may come to the building so fyi BOLO. I'm like great I only get 21 feet so I better run like hell or throw my flashlight at him!! only on my shift I tell ya

ANyway, an officer and I walked it the front door. While he was talking to the mom, I assisted the aunt in getting the kids ready to go. It was all going very smoothly, which was kinda odd from this family..Then, a loud, deep voice came from upstairs.."LEAVE, or face your doom." We all just looked at each other and couldn't help but crack a smile..It was the 19 year old nephew who is definitely 10-96, schizo., etc...He came down the stairs with a Darth Vader helmet on and a broken broom stick..Normally, LE would have taken this more seriously, but since we all knew the family, we just talked him down and left..It was hilarious.

The 10 code thing just becomes natural after awhile..I work on them in my spare time (sad, I know)..
Also, when I run..I do the Liscense Code alphabet on each step: A-Adam, B-boy, C-Charles, etc...Good practice..
My buddies and i screw around and have full conversations with 10 codes..It's hilarious to see how many you can use in own sentence..goes along with some fun drinking games. :D
