What the hell type of class was that! Using a loaded handgun for a demonstration? I hope that guy lost his job. The rear of his shirt said DEA, and all this time I thought that the feds had higher standards. I feel so foolish.

I can't believe he wanted to show the group another firearm after the first accident!

What an idiot.

We have to load/unload at a clearing barrel, and use red guns for demonstrations.

What the hell! How did he "clear" that gun? Guess he didn't eject the round in the chamber.

There was a guy about 10 years ago in Pittsburgh that did that very same thing. He said he was having trouble with his G Lock and was in his dispatch room. He racked the round out of the chamber THEN dropped the mag out, he then put the barrel to his palm in order to take the slide off BANG. 40cal through his hand hit the desk, wizzed past the dispatchers head and logged into the ceiling.  He had a nice hole in his palm...
He wasnt a city cop but a lets juts say PAT PD... Nice guy though....

...Iam wondering if the Deputy had his hand on the weapon or even had it drawn when entering that residence

Been watching and believing everything you see on the TeeVee?

Firearms require human interaction to discharge, unless it is left in a very hot fire.

I was watching this video this past weekend. From what I could tell, unless the round got stuck in the chamber, the slide was locked to the rear. I'm thinking he didn't drop the magazine out, and when he closed the slide, he chambered another round. Another recipient of the Darwin Awards.
