I tried it once. I had fun. Going to find a place somewhere nearby that does it.

The place that I first tried it at when I was a Police Explorer closed down.

We all had a blast.

A bunch of other officers and I play from time to time. Anywhere from 8-10 guys, from three different jurisdictions. As you could expect, it can get pretty competitive. Theres a paint ball range in our area, with three different courses. Ones an enormous castle, ones weedy with trenches, and the other just has tons of different types of cover. Pretty fun. And so far, its the closest thing I have ever experienced to be actually being shot at (which would NOT be very fun).

I used to work at a paintball field in high school. That kept me in the game for fairly cheap. I loved it but unfortunately, I don't have the time nor money to play it. :(

I wish it was a cheap sport. Why I only by discount ammo. I wanted on a team so supplys would be cheaper. The two pro teams near and by both suck. One of them wouldn't let me join because I never played NPPL. (I dont how your going t oo if you cant get on a team that plays it). They later offer me a position on their team after they got owned by me on the field. I turn them down by saying. Na I don't play with teams that can't play paintball. Their rank last in NPPL last I check.

I play whenever I can. I love it. It affords me the opportunity to put a round between somebody's running lights without having to deal with review boards and administrative time off. :D
But seriously, I started playing about 3 yrs ago and have been playing since. I finally found a field close to me that has VERY cheap field fees and fair prices on paintballs and other stuff.

One of my buddies used to live on about 12 acres (about half of which was wooded) we used to play their all the time but it is all getting developed now. I haven't even touched my gun in about a year and a half :(

I used to be huge in the sport in my teen years. I even played on a tournament team (Tippmann Cavileers) for awhile. We won a few tourneys, but maily were we in it for the fun and the team aspect of the game. I got out of it when it started to become too "commercial." People have forgotten the roots of paintball, and I think all of the fun is removed when a 13yr old kid can buy a full auto electropneumatic paint thrower for $75 down at their local discount store. It got to the point where the kid whose parents gave him the most cash won the games. I'd still like to get back into it.........with some adults.

I hope to get back in to it after I get my career going. I have a Spyder flast upgraded as far as you can go. To be honest I know I'll catch some flak over this but. Anyone who spends $800 or more for a PB gun are wasting there money. If you know how to play and shoot a tippman or spyder is all you need. Angels E-mags ect.... Are really a waste of money.

If there are any sworn LE in this thread who play paintball, I hope you're putting in a team for the World Police and Fire Games this summer in Quebec, Canada.

I used to play quite a bit, but haven't since becoming an officer. I just don't have the time(or the funds!) to do it. We used to play in 24 hr scenerios at this place in PA:

I played a couple of 24hour games. Usually the last 8 hours you want real guns because your so tried everyones at everyones throats. :D

Some of the regular games I've played can get like that because of all the whiners. God how I hate the whiners.

Paintball is an awesome training tool. My squadron deployed to Hickam AFB, Hawaii for some urban terrain training. We bought 8 tippman A5s and 10000 paintballs. While not quite as accurate as simunitions, its still great, and hurts a lot less.
