So I am making a CD with songs you might hear in a bar.
Any suggetstions ?

I mean a bar down the street from your house kind of place and what type of music is on.


So basically looking for Drinking songs / Background music.
Any help is appreciated.

Robert Earl Keen makes for some good background music at a bar.

Sweet Caroline by Neil Diamond will bring a multi-generational bar togehter.

As with any music entertainment situation. It really depends what kind of crowd is in the bar. Some people like country, some like rock, some like dance, some like alternative (I just puked :eek: ).

You really need to know what kind of crowd hangs out there and play music accordingly. Sometimes variety will work but you have to make sure you're not going from classical to jazz to heavy metal, etc. You might be better off having different styles of music ready at hand in case you have people that don't like rock & like country for example.
