yup, but it's been awhile...
This is in regard to Cheif Mercer...is it standard for a Police Cheif to walk around unarmed...especially when some whacko is killing cops that match his description. I have a hard time believing that someone who is having his home guarded becasue of this nut would walk around outside of the guarded perimeter without a weapon to defend himself.
I know its fiction, but I like to read things that are believeable..even if its fiction.
If you remember what I am talking about...let me know.
BTW, do you remember if you liked it?I like it so far, but am not sure if a cop would.

I've gone through 4 Chiefs with my current PD, and only one (the current jerk) carried a gun with any regularity.
Oh...ok, so it's not a given that a Cheif of P. is always armed. Thanks. I just thought it was odd in the book...maybe not.

Delta784 is right - my old chief rarely carried his gun. The only time he had it on was when he was in uniform, which was like twice a year.
