Has everybody heard new episodes begin 5/1/05 on FOX???


And what did everybody think of the new show "american dad" I think it is called... It aired right after the super bowl.

It is made from the Family Guy Creators.


Any thoughts?

Thats frickin great that the Family Guy is coming back. Love that toon, almost more than Simpsons and Spongebob. As for the the "American Dad" it sucked a*s. I watched 10 minutes then changed the channel.

I thought American Dad was OK. Not great. Family Guy only has one competition, The Simpsons. Two different types of comedy but both very good.

There are rumors that The Simpsons will end in 3 years then have a Simpsons movie. It will be a very sad day in America when the Simpsons end.

Good deal Family Guy is coming back. Lets see how bad FOX can screw it up this time. :mad: More celebrity boxing anyone??? :rolleyes:

when i heard family guy was coming back on the air i nearly wet myself. honestly, as of late, the simpsons have been kind of reaching for new ideas. who could blame them though, after about a million seasons, it's gotta be hard to get new premises for shows. i thought american dad was pretty funny, but probably only because the characters had shades of family guy in them.

The simpsons has been going downhill for me, and its amazing because Homer looks like a family man compared to peter!

I'm with you on this one. After watching every episode of Family Guy at least four times I can't really laugh at anything remotely less funny. Come to think of it, I now have a hard time laughing at anything that doesn't use random comedy in it.

Except Friends...Friends just sucked.

In my mind, the Simpons can't hold a candle to Family Guy. Yes the Simpsons have been around forever, but I've just never found them to be very funny. Family Guy is guaranteed to have me in stitches. :D

I want to say a couple of years... FOX dropped it.. there were a couple of controversial episodes... one called 'when i wish upon a weinstein' basically about jews the whole time...

But I can't wait for it to get back on the air!!

Cuz FOX is full of dumb ****s! It's a long story. Basically Family Guy was a new show that was barely advertised. Once it started to gain popularity FOX decided it was better to air "Celebrity Boxing" during the Family Guy time slot. After a while the Family Guy fans started giving up because FOX kept airing stupid **** during the time slot. So, the rating went down, it was deemed to controversial, and Family Guy died.

Well, Adult Swim on Cartoon Network decided they wanted to show reruns. FOX allowed it and the ratings went through the roof. Then, Family Guy began selling the seasons on DVD. They sold literally MILLIONS of copies. FOX started thinking, "oops, we kinda messed up." Now they are going to bring the show back. Lets see how much they screw it up this time. The season premier on May 1st is a good start to Fing it up. Lets see what happens.

I love the Simpsons, but when I first saw Family Guy, that show (in my opinion) surpassed anyhting I'd seen on the Simpsons. Both shows are GREAT.
