Hey folks, I posted a question on BSO a couple months ago about there status of hiring, overall opinion etc.

I have been working out hard and am ready to go and get all the testing done.

Does anyone have any new information on BSO, I see they have an ad for Deputy/Pilot which is my long term goal there as I am a pilot rite now. Will that help me at all since I can fit into one of the specialty units rite off the bat?

Appreciate the new insight!!!!

well, your gonna be stuck in patrol for a while, so keep your flying hours up to par, yer not going to be hired, as a cop , pilot...yr gonna pay yer dues.....more than likely they already have guy in mind..or hired and it's all a big ruse for the
general public....smoke and mirrors during this admin.

No problem at all with paying dues, I look forward to it actually, yes I know it sounds weird, but true. Its only fair to all the other deputies out there before us.

How much longer is Sheriff Jenne in office, is there a limited amount of terms one can spend as Sheriff?

he can be sheriff, as long as he wants to, no term limits....
not popular with the troops, to much of a bean counter, his intentions are good, but he shoulda been a cop 1st.

Hell he wants to be a fire chief, cop and probably next head good humor man.

How was Nick Narvaro when he was running the sheriff's office?

jenne is an ********* but he's smart. he's trying to monopolize the biggest chunk of the county services and public safety is definitely the most important and best funded of all county services. he who controls the majority of the county budget, wields the most power. jenne is a power player and he's well on his way to the throne.

Navarro was much better, but his thing was being in the lime light, where Jenne is all about control. Bart said it best, he controls just about everything in Broward. He will not leave as Sheriff until some higher office comes along. He is pushing for a strong mayor spot. While he is not popular amongst the boys on the road, seems the public likes the moron.

navarro, cochran, and jenne...were not popular in certain ways with the troops....specially true with cochran and jenne...

navarro, was all about kickin *** and takin names,

although his policies about transfers from the jail to the road
were a bit insane and stupid, as he lost a lotta good deputies
to pompano beach and other agencie's , only for jenne to take over those agencies and get them same good people back.

cochran came to office and got rid of the ' good ole boys' ,
who , for the most part...never earned rank, assignments, w/o
being connected, that was the only good thing he did in jan 93.
otherwise he was used to being a puppet on a string and could not
handle the duties being the puppet master himself....good riddence.

for jenne....get rid of; powertrack, star track, admin track, fire track...and let the cop's and firemen do their job,....quit entertaining...complaints from crack heads and signal 20's,
and tell them to get the 'F' OUTTA THE OFFICE WITH THAT B.S...
quit trying to show the feds....minority's in leadership positions
unless they really earn that rank.

Ft. Laud...

You keep giving me reasons to withdraw from the BSO process.. If you have any other info.. Send me a PM. I thought my experience would make a good time there, but the more I read and hear.. It's better to stay far away.
