I would like some info about working in the UK as Police Staff, am a fully qualified Crime Scene Expert, and Finger Print Expert. but here comes the crunch. I am a South African citizen, 37 years old. I understand I need a sponsored work permit to gain access into the UK. Anyone either advice and contacts, that could help me bridge the gap.
I have contacted many stations in the UK, however get the response that I must secure my own work permit, so stuck in a catch 22.

Sharkykzn - There are number of UK Police Officers who visit this Forum on a regular basis and I'm sure that they will assist you if they can.

The following provides links to all official UK police sites. You will have to contact individual forces to see what employment opportunities exist. I'm not sure what the position is regarding residency, but we do have South Africans serving in our force.
