This does give the impression that the Home Secretary isn't that concerned about violent crime. But then the Home Secretary is constantly guarded by armed detectives.

Too bad the people of the Kingdom have been, well, neutered. Out in the West, where I live, we expect to have to handle these kinds of problems ourselves for the first 45 min. or so. And our homes ARE 'our castles", within limits.
