Does anyone have any experience or comments on the Beretta CX-4 Storm? I am considering it in .40 calibre. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

1) YMMV
2) After seeing the "quality" inherent in Berettas pistols, I wouldnt get near any of their guns save perhaps a sporting shotgun.
3) See #1

Why would you want a pistol caliber rifle. If I wanted to shoot someone with a 9 or 40, I can do it with my pistol.
When I need a rifle, I need a real rifle and that means 5.56 is the starting point. Plus, handgun rounds tend to vastly overpenetrate compared to 5.56...

A friend of mine got a Storm in 9mm and seems to like it quite a bit.
The ergonomics are great. To me it is one of the best feeling carbines I have held (but I have not actually shot one).
Rails are nice if you like the fancier lights, scopes, lasers, etc.

CX-4 Storm is more of a toy rather than something a LEO would want to rely on during a high risk takedown.
When I say toy, it is, at least for us in Canada. Here it is illegal to own MP-5 or anything similar so those who want a feel of an SMG can only resot to CX-4. Even owning this little toy is a big legal hassle ( restricted class).
For 1075 $ Canadian you get a rifle, 2 mags , rail for vertical grip, top rail for a scope and side rail for light. Not many comapnies are so generous in accessories.
ALso a comment about quality of Beretta guns. Those pistols made in Italy are of better quality than those made in USA. No politics here, just experience.

uhhhh yeah right...
it's 9mm or 40 caliber, uses common mags (esp if you have the sidearms issued), is a great "trunk gun", give you better stand off distance and better aim over the sidearm.
Here in the US those departments that don't want to go through the hassle of a form 5 to get full auto, often times get semi auto.
Maybe it's a toy in Canada, but it's a worthwhile tool for law enforcement in the US.
