I recently passed an oral board for a department, (BIG Relief), and am about to go through the background check and polygraph stage. My background detective will call me soon to go over a short questionare that I did when I tested, and I'm curious about any opinions about how to approach an issue of driving without insurance. I'm well aware that honesty is the key, but, would it be something that i should put on the table, or, if they ask about it, THEN explain the situation... opinions are GREATLY appreciated.

You've got to be kidding me. You're considering lying by witholding information, and you want opinions? Too bad we don't know your name and the dept you're applying to

NONONO I'm by no means witholding it, i already stated on a questionare that there was a period that i had driven without insurance. But, would it be something that if they don't bring it up again, i shouldn't either? Or should i just reiterate that mistake?

Anyway, to whoever was reading, or interested, i emailed my background investigator, and just reiterated the information, and the situations that influenced it.
