Polygraph Question?

I did a polygraph for a deptartment in another state, and PASSED and was hired by that department. I have now moved several states away and will be subject to another polygraph ( oh joy of joys) My questions are

1. When they do my BI will they obtain the results of my 1st ploygraph, if so will I be notified by either department of this?

2. I am sure I will be asked if I have done a polygraph before by the new poly examiner for the department I am applying for and when I say YES will they obtain the results of the 1st Polygraph?


Not that it matters all that much I don't think but my 1st poly was done over 8 yrs ago.

Yeah to be honest i can't,I was so nervious that I do remember answering a question that required a number and that number was higher than I truely believe it should have been now with a lot more time to reflect , plus the examiner kept going higher lol I kept saying I don't remember exactly how many times and we eventually reached a number that he was happy with.
This I plan on explaining to my new examiner, however if they are not going to get the report why bother bring it up, hence my question.
Also I was curious as if they were going to get it i could save some time and bring it with me, as I have several copies of it.
I truely believe in being upfront with the examiner, but why "load the gun and hand it to him" if you get my drift.
I have no issues about my indiscretions in my past and have no intention on lying at all, as that only leaves me open to problems down the road.

Well, no one can really answer that here because just as there are good BI's and bad ones, there's also dept's that dig deep into your past, and some who send a form letter out, and call it a background investigation. It depends on what the current dept you're testing for wants to get and how far they dig to get it.

Can they get it? Most likely, yes. Will they get it? Have no idea
