Im currently making my way through the hiring process of a Southern California agency and the Lieutenants interview is approaching. Im not sure of other departments in other states, but the LI is (potentially) when the conditional job offer is made, contingent upon passing the medical and the pysch.

My question is - what kind of questions can I expect? What kind of questions were you asked? Im just trying to get a range of questions to prepare for and keep in the back of my mind.

Thanks.:p

I'm also in Southern Cali, and I just had my first interview 2 days ago. They basically went over my application, and asked me questions pertaining to my previous jobs, college, and military experience. They also asked why I wanted to become a police officer, and what steps I have taken to prepare myself for the job.

Yes, although the only interview I've been to so far, was in Orange County.

I agree with the above. The LT interview was more "relaxed" than the initial oral board interview (at least in my case). If I remember correctly, the LT interview was very short, lasting no more than 15 minutes - it was more or less a final "check-out" interview. Don't sweat it too much, but don't get caught "off-guard" either.
