What Are My chances?

Im a 28 yr old female interested in being a homicide detective one day. I just enrolled in my law enforcement classes I start in the fall. My question is I got a DUI about 2 yrs ago my first and last will this make it hard for me to find a job? and How hard is it for a female in the field ...Ladies? :confused:

Many bigger departments may over look your past transgressions, i knew a guy detroit hired who had a DUI 3 yrs prior, he said he was grilled in he oral board but in the end he pulled through. As for becoming a homicide detective, you better be prepared to put a whole lot of time in the street, most of the time this is not an assignment you get over night, i wouldn't imagine becoming a homicide det. with less then 6 to 10 yrs on the job, depending on the deptment size maybe longer! good luck!
