G'day Chaps, I haven't logged on to O.com in quite a while, as I haven't really seen the point. However, its great to see that the International Law Enforcement Forum is going from strength to strength. Gazza, you would remember the battles that I had with the previous management in trying to get a Forum such as this started. At one stage, they even banned me.!!
It is great to see that the International Law Enforcement Forum is attracting members from around the world and that US Members are also now participating in the Forum.
OK, to the point in relation to 'The Game'.
Gazza, I cannot be bothered with AFL(Aussie Rules)anymore; ever since they went National, I think that they have lost the plot. I can't even remember half the team names anymore. Great teams such as South Melbourne, Fitzroy and Footscray have gone. Yeah, they are still around, playing in another State under different names.
We should have kept it in Victoria.
I can't really get involved with the thugs game of Rugby League, although the State of Origin game was top class. My enjoyment is watching and supporting Rugby Union, especially at an International level. However, in my opinion the game that is really gathering momentum in Australian is Soccer. It's a shame that the behaviour of the spectators has taken the game of Soccer into disrepute.
I take my 7 year old grandson to GoalKick (Soccer)which is the equiv to AusKick (Aussie Rules) every Saturday morning and he really enjoys playing the game at his level. I think that he has the potential to make a great Goal Keeper. (Yeah ok, he's only 7 and I'm biased.
;)
Anyhow, it's good to see that a few of the old hands are still around O.com. I will keeping a watch on this Forum because, as I said, it looks like it is going from strength to strength with Posts and discussions between Officers from around the world.
Cheers,
JohnKelly

G'day John,
Been gone a while mate. Good to see you back. I find myself in total agreement with you, you should have kept the "V" in VFL, and not inflicted the "game " on the rest of OZ!!:D
Check out the "Can we ban football" thread in this forum. You may find it enlightening, and mildy amusing!!
krj: Stick around, "Strine 101" is just commencing!!!
