90% of police departments who have hiring advertisements state in their requirements, (no felony convictions). Then why is it that someone with a felony arrest but no conviction, is simply discarded. Would that not open the door for a civil lawsuit????? Just asking.

I'd say there is a justifiable difference between someone charged with a crime and someone convicted of a crime. especially a felony.
