Background Question

When I was in High School I wasnt well liked by many. The school was made up of mostly gang banger wanna be's and I didnt want to have anything to do with them.

Long story short, one of the other guys lived up the street from me and I started dating this girl that he really wanted. Now she is my fiancee :) Well this made him mad so he told the local PD that I was dealing drugs (which I wasnt and never have) So of course they come and checked it out and find nothing! Absolutley not one spec of drugs. Then he started sending letters around the neighborhood about this and it eventually ended when we told the cop about all of this and he went and talked to him and told him he better stop or we can take him to court. He then moved out of the neighborhood.

This was 6 years ago now. And now I want to be a police officer. I am going to be starting the Academy soon (Go next week to sign up :cool: ) Will any of this show up on a background investigation? And should I mention any of this in any of the applications or anything like that?

Lots of agencies will ask you to document any contact that you've had with law enforcement officers as the subject of an investigation. Even doing that, this should present no problem for you. Simply explain to the investigator what the situation was and tell him that your fiancee can corroborate your statements.
