I am currently enlisted (SSgt) in the Air Force as a Security Forces Member. I will have my B.A. degree in Criminal Justice with honors at the end of March 2004. My enlistment will be up in Oct 2004, giving me 6 yrs. in. My ideal career would be a FBI Agent, next DEA or Customs.

However if I can't get into those careers, I will go local and work my way up to being a detective.

I tried marijuana 2-3 times in highschool and I have 1 traffic ticket (on record) for right now but it should be gone I think this year.

While in the USAF, I have recieved various awards and been a volunteer, all that stuff.

Does anyone know if this stuff will play a factor, hopefully favorably for me, in the hiring process?

My advice is for you to look into other federal agencies; FPS, DSS, Customs or Dept of Homeland Security, because most of them will give you preference in hiring due to military and apply your military time towards retirement or some formula for compensation. I would go feds if I had the chance to do it over again.
