Boy did I have a good interview and day!

I had my interview today with the board of a PD I applied to.

Throughout the interview I did not fall for their tricks and impressed them. The interview was tough but I am an honest person and had nothing to hide.

Towards the end, I had a question from one of the five board members and as I began to answer the 5th board member blurted out a question right in the middle of my responses to the recently asked question from the other board members. I immediately said "Excuse me sir, but I will answer your question when I am done with these others." I said it in a polite yet commanding voice and boom they hired me on the spot.

Sheesh.

Going tomorrow for my uniform fit.

I think thats a technique that they call "machine gunning".Thats what I have heard it refered to anyway CONGRATS!

I would have loved to been a fly on the wall. How big is this department that hired you on the spot? Isn't there normally additional steps you have to pass AFTER the oral board?? You're getting fitted the NEXT day for your uniform?? I find this all very interesting! lol

i dont know what size of a p.d. he is hiring into but around this area there a lot of small p.d.'s that dont require much more. they run prints and check trpl i and all that stuff but usually they are hiring a local guy that theyve known forever. the testing is the same im sure to narrow down the applicants.

haha yea sounds funny, hired on the spot after an oral board interview? uhhhh yea ok hmm.. they must have had no police on beats so they threw them in as they came along huh.. hired you right away? Dude you don't get hired till AFTER you have finished the Academy and if you already have been through the Academy... theres still the Background History to go.

not quite dynamis, cheese once stated that he's from sc, the depts around here have the oral board as the last thing, background, pt, psychologoical, and testing all come before that.
