I have talk to friends that are cops and basically they told me to be real and thats it. I want to know what type of questions would they throw at you in the oral board? If you guys have any tips please feel free to help me out. Thank you!

usually alot of LEO oral boards are stress type interviews, no answer you give them is going to be right, just keep answering finding diferent solutions each time to different problems they pose to you in the form of a question. Another words alot of the interview, at least the hardest, they are trying yourt patience, the other questions that arnt geered this way will come natural just like any othe interview questions

On that oral board exam, make sure to greet everyone in the room. Do not be nervous in the least. Theres nothing to be nervous about. Being nervous will only show that you may lose control in a mentally demanding situation.

Answer the questions as directly and short as possible. Don't make a story out of an answer. Whichever person is asking you the question should be given eye to eye contact during the majority of the time that you answer. Think a few seconds if you must before you answer but not too long like a minute or something.

If you did not understand the question or did not heart it clearly, ask the person to kindly rephrase or repeat. Most of the interviewers are very nice and won't mind at all.

One question that you most definitely will be asked and should as of now already have an answer in mind is.." Why do you want to be a police officer and also why do you want to be a police officer for this City?"

I just took my oral board exam for LAPD and I got 75% which isn't that great but for someone who had never relaly trained for it and also had never been to college or in the military, it was pretty nice. If I take it again then I'm sure I'll do better as I know to answer questions more directly and short than to make them too long as I had done this time.

Good luck dude. :D
