Imagine this... in the late 70's / early 80's I thought Gallagher/Zappa would have made a great presidential ticket. (That's Gallagher the comedian and Frank Zappa the deceased rock(?) star genius.) I even made a bumper sticker for them.

My how I've changed... Here I am a pure honky, half-red-neck, half hillbilly, raised on the cusp of cajunland, where I've developed a Conservative / Libertarian political stance and my dream ticket today would very possibly be comprised of - Williams/Powell.

That's Walter Williams the economist from George Mason university and Colin Powell who needs no introduction. Thomas Sowell would get my vote too but he's getting pretty old now. Maybe he could be a top advisor?

I thought about Ted Nugent but he might follow Socrates' suggestion a bit too literally.

Who would be on your fantasy ticket? (Living possibles only please.)

Hulk Hogan and the Ultimate Warrior.

Hulk Hogan represents a real American. I am still upset they had to fight at WrestleMania, but if they can put their past behind them they will get my vote.

The only thing holding them back is that the Warrior is from Parts Unknown. I don't know if that is a US territory. :D

Heh heh...

John Ashcroft and Hunter S. Thompson. Doubt they'd get elected, as they'd probably kill eachother long before the election...and God knows what ticket they'd run for :)

I was kind of partial to a Dean/Sharpton combo:rolleyes:

But I also think a Nader/Sharpton ticket would be the one to beat:D

I nominate Jimmy Buffett. I love his response to fans who hold signs up that read "Buffett for president" He says he inhaled & liked it & he couldn't pass the morality test. At least he's honest !

I'm a WASPM, but I could support that pairing wholeheartedly--in either order! They have both stated frequently that they are not interested, though.
