I was wondering if anyone on the forum has or does work for Interpol and if they had any info on how it is to work for them.
Thanks

Very few officers work directly for Interpol. Each member nation has a single agency for point of contact - in the US, it was the Secret Service. I have responded to Interpol inquiries, but I did not "work" for them. I also had some quires forwarded via Interpol to nations where my agency did not have a rep. This was faster than going through the "legal attache" (always an FBI agent) at our embassy.

In the UK, the contact agency is NCIS (National Criminal Intelligence Service).
It's a useful way to exchange information about individuals who are wanted
(so called "Red Notices"), missing persons, stolen property and so on. As Sleuth suggests, it's not an International Police force - national/local forces will do all the legwork. The one draw-back is that like the UN, almost everyone in the world is a member - and not every Police force in the world can be trusted with sensitive intelligence.

The RCMP is Canada's representative to INTERPOL. We have at least 1 member posted to INTERPOL HQ in Paris at all times. You could call INTERPOL more of a co-operative than anything else. I have never been posted to INTERPOL, either in Paris or in the RCMP HQ bureau in Ottawa.
