This is a story entitled "Running Beyond Inspiration", by Chaplain Tony Miano, who ministers to those at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station (California I believe).
This true story is about a group of officers who participated in the 2003 Baker to Vegas Challenge Cup Relay Race - a 120 mile non-stop relay race. They ran in honor of one of their own - Deputy Andy Vauhan who died this past year of Lou Gehrig's disease.
