Conducting a testing and hiring process to immediately hire between 1 and 3 full
time Police Officers with reserve officer positions. Applicant must be at least 21 years
old, a U.S. citizen, physically able to handle the various duties of a Police Officer,
licensed driver, pass written, agility test, psychological exam, medical exam,
polygraph exam, along with other testing. A thorough background investigation will
be conducted. Must be certified as a Level 1 Police Officer in the State of Colorado.
Out of state applicants will be considered per the POST rules pertaining to
certification. Salary for one of the positions is between $30,000 and $34,500 based
on experience and capability with lateral and Spanish speaking getting the hire
range. Benefits include top of the line equipment, take home patrol car, excellent
training and programs, paid health, life, dental and eye insurance for the office plus a
retirement program. Resumes welcome but must accompany New Castle police
department application. The application can be picked up at the police department.
