I am in the running to be hired by the Greeley, CO PD. As I was an officer in Nebraska for two years, GPD asked that I contac the POST offices and begin the process for transfer of my NE certification to CO. The way that I understand it is that I will either have to "test out" of POST or take a two week "refresher course" to get my CO certification without going to the academy (they said that they are short on budget and can't send people to the academy, and shouldn't need to with me). My question is do it take the "test out" or the refresher course....is the test out easy or not? It's been two years since I have worked. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.
