gives you the finger or grabs his/her crotch when he/she sees you?

I have heard about such instances happening. I was wondering what the law says...(since rudeness too your neighbor is not technically illegal, right?)

[Administrator- could you change "puck" to "punk"
Thanks]

In reply to the finger, I usually tell them I don't give a damn what their IQ is!

As for the crotch grabbing, I ask them if they do that to make sure what's supposed to be there still is, on account of it being so small they can't feel it otherwise.

Another reply I use for the crotch grabbing is to tell them not to squeeze it too hard; they might bruise their brain.

NOPE! Once a "puck" always a "puck!" http://www.officer.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Seriously the only way to do that would be to delete the entire thread. http://www.officer.com/ubb/frown.gif

Usually ignore him and file him in my memory.

Sometimes just stop the car, point at him and laugh hysterically. They never know how to take that.

If he's a gang-banger, be sure to tell him how much the info he gave you helped you to bust "that guy." It'll REALLY go over well with his buddies! http://www.officer.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Kind of close to something we did before Don.........

We had a kid that was a wanna-be tough guy that used to give us the up-yours signal everytime he saw us.

We started the rumor that was his signal that he had info for us and he needed to meet. http://www.officer.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

andy:

is this something to do with a video I saw on copsonline?

where a 'punk teenager' gives a beat cop the bird, and receives some summary justice courtesy of Mr. Monadnock?

we'd have to grin and bear it in the Uk, and file the incident for 'future reference'...

Bez, don't believe that video.

We took a hard look at it here and concluded that it looked very staged. Further, many feel it was a security guard.

No, My question was not formed from viewing that videoclip. It was formed from talking to a former cop telling me what he did one night when this happended to him.

I am no expert on police procedure, but I do not believe the videoclip is real. It does, however, seem to be on the level of what fraternity boys might do at LSU-But that is a thread in itself

why do people refer to him as a kid.... that guy in the video that flips the cop the bird and gets to say hello to 'mr monadock' looks about 35 years old.

Uh Michael to SOME of us, 35 is just a kid! http://www.officer.com/ubb/frown.gif http://www.officer.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Our Traffic Court Judge says he wouldn't be upset if someone in a vehicle does this and they end up with a improper turn signal ticket. Best

Oh ! This brings back fond memories eh?

Grabbing the ol' crotch or giving the bird would result in my snatching the guy up and driving him directly to his Command Sgt Major, who would then get to watch the GI repeat that cute movement! No mercy!

That was as an MP.

Any form of disprespt had to be nipped in the bud, even if that ment going to the mat right there on the sidewalk. This period of time was, after all, the mid-70s.
