I'm an Officer from Aus, and was looking for information about agencies that use Tactical Officers as Paramedics, rather than City EMS Paramedics with tactical training.
Also any info on setting up a paramedic training program and policies for training law enforcement officers as tacmedics. Any info would be appreciated.

Stay safe out there!

In Texas there are some regional S.W.A.T. Teams (These are in areas where most, if not all, of the departments are too small to support their own team. A number of these smaller agencies will get together and field a team that will respond to incidents in each jurisdiction.) that have actually commissioned tactical paramedics on some of these teams (well, the district attorney's have anyway) as law enforcement officers...Not the same as using cops as medics, but rather medics as cops...Sorry, but I don't know which teams do this, but if you check out TTPOA's websight (www.ttpoa.org) they might be able to help you out with information on these teams...
