What does the FitForce test consist of??? I hadn't seen this before and I notice that departments are using it for recruit testing.
I just got certified in that as a fitness specialist.
It's basically the Cooper's progam without the emphasis on cardio. The Fitforce is LE emphasised rather than Cooper who is for marathoners and just does LE work as a side thing. An example of the standards difference would be for me make a 100% in bench and 1.5 mile run on Cooper's I would have to run the 1.5 in 9:07 and bench 1.07 times my body weight. In Fitforce(LE sample norm) my run would have to be only 9:30 and the bench 1.75 times bodyweight. There is also a different LE norm that combines males and females with the resulting 1.5 run being 9:52 but the sample group for that is still too small to be court defensable.
In the short years Fitforce has been around they've done a lot more LE job related research than Coopers and in Ohio we the state training commision has used fitforce as the model for the academy requirements. Fitforce is also a totatal program for the Officer to improve their health through targeted training and diet.
The biggest reason why Fotforce is getting popular is Cooper will no longer defend his program in court; Fitforce will and Ohio is actually looking for their first court challenge to see how the program holds up.
