I'm applying and have a question about the medical review. I got tboned by a car and my leg shattered, I have a plate in my leg and was wondering if this was going to get me Dq'd? I've had 4 surgeries and according to my Dr. it should be ok now. I just want to know if they wont allow me to be a police officer due to it. Thank you all.

This question is very broad, in that there is no one "blanket" medical disqualifier that is implemented throughout every police department nationwide. What could you get you medically disqualified in Portland, OR., Sault Ste. Marie, MI. or Chesterfield, MO., might not get you disqualified in Miami, FL., Mesa, AZ., or Birmingham, AL.

Ok, I was just really trying to figure out if they would like decide I wasnt physically fit or something of that nature. I can still run just as fast as most people will be able to pass the PAT no problem.
