This video has something for both ends of the political spectrum.

A John Oliver report (Daily Show) on why the liberal G20 protesters could use some pointers from the Tea Party groups. Some cheap shots both ways don't flame me over it I just thought some people would find it amusing.

There were some Tea Party types at the G20 protests, but I think they were intelligent enough to recognize that they would get better publicity by making their point peacefully. I do not think that the general public is swayed in favor of rioters these days.

No most definitely not. I think protests have become way too common, the scary thing is what people will resort to now that protesting falls upon deaf ears. Getting a single guest on a T.V. show can get you more coverage and actually get your ideas out a better than getting 50k people to protest.

I just thought the video was kind of funny. Reminded me of the Penn and Teller Bullsh*t episode about environmentalism.

I had to add after re-reading your post DAL, and I am really not trying to pick a fight here, but a protest and a riot are wholly different things.

So what are you saying? That a Tea Party 'type' (conservative) went to Philadelphia with the intention of obstructing traffic, smashing out windows and rolling a dumpster into police and then changed their minds when they got there.

Did anyone notice the absence of any remarks or effigies of Obama. That collection of rejects, communists, socialists and anarchists know they have their 'man' in the White House.

Perhaps you are inferring that, but I certainly did not say that. I presume that they went there to protest peaceably, which is what they did. I also reject your characterization of Tea Partiers as conservatives. Many are libertarians and reject socially conservative positions.

I did see a video, however, in which a person said to be Tea Party organizer appeared to have been exhorting police officers not to follow the orders given by their superiors. I do not know whether the description was accurate, although someone was definitely shouting a police officers to disobey their orders. It is entirely plausible that a libertarian would do that.

I dunno Tony that guy at 1:50 is pretty sure "Barack Obama is C.I.A." ;)
