First, I hope it works for you. I'm sure it's a fine knife. I like the dedicated glass-striker.
Now, all the reasons I wouldn't buy it:
1) It has a safety, which just seems dumb on a knife, when that is already my absolute last-resort weapon. I don't need to be fumblin' around for the safety.
2) I prefer the standard thumb-activated assist knives. I have never liked nor understood the front-mount flip, because then you have to reposition your entire hand to use the knife in most cases. I realize it can also be thumb-activated, but even in the video it looked like the safety got in the way of that.
3) It is ugly. I'm sure it's hard-core, but....well....it looks like a few chunks of metal thrown together. It would look kind of cool in a video game like HALO, though.

Cold Steel Recon, Benchmade Rukus. Spend the money. Can't beat them (literally and figuratively).

I just looked at one at my local knife store. IT'S FREAKING HUGE!!! I can't imagine carrying that thing as a pocket knife.
S&W knives = pass for me.
Whether it's the sub-par construction and quality (S&W contracts an off-shore manufacturer whose reputation is already in the dumps) or non-premium blade steels (usually 400 series), I'll never buy another S&W knife.

wow.....i was at the local GANDER MNT....i saw some nice BUCK,SPYDERCO, knives...the other knives i saw where made in china and japan...
i saw a nice benchmade knife...it was 119.00.....
Spyderco knives made with S30V steel are made in Colorado.
Most of the others made with VG-10 steel are made in Seki, Japan. But they might as well be made in the US because they're just as high in quality. I got a Spyderco Harpy (Seki, Japan), and it's rock solid. I also have a Native (made in Colorado) and as expected it's rock solid too and features premium S30V blade steel.
A knife made in Japan with excellent quality control and high manufacturing standards is better than a US-made knife with lesser standards and quality control.
Almost always, if it says China or Taiwan, I stay away from it, regardless of the name on the knife or manufacturer. The two are not always the same (see S&W, who still has cheap-o Taylor Cutlery manufacture their knives unless something has recently changed).
Benchmade divides its knives into classes. It's red-class products are foreign-made. Blue class and up are domestic with few exceptions. Benchmade also produces knives for Heckler & Koch, and most are domestically manufactured.
I have no experience with BUCK knives.
