If anyone gets a chance to attend the Weapons of Mass Destruction school sponsored by the DOJ and the Counter-Terrorism school at Louisiana State University, I would highly recommend it.

The Instructors were excellent and really knew the material well.

A lot of good information and food for thought.

Did they demo a good WMD explosion? The FBI here had planned to put on an Advanced Post Blast Investigators course. The course was to include a large truck bomb to demonstrate some of the blast effect. Unfortunately they weren't able to find a venue in ecologically friendly CA that could host a truck bomb :)

No demos of that type, but we did do a few scenarios. They did have some excellent photos of past incidents.

Also went fairly in-depth about Incident Command. Great concept for situations requiring large amounts of resources.
