August 4, 1964- The Gulf of Tonkin Incident, used by President LBJ (you remember him, The Great Society?) to dramatically escalate US involvement in the Vietnam War. Turned out to be a false incident.

February 18, 1898- The USS Maine Incident, used by President McKinley to justify starting the Spanish-American War. Turns out the information that Spaniards had blown up the Maine was false.

Since both LBJ and McKinley relied on flawed intelligence to start (or escalate) their wars, they both must have been deliberately lying to the American people and sending young men off to die for a lie. Let's hold the standard you've set for Bush to all President's....
