Haven't been, but heard they're great.

Problem I've seen is most officers go and a year later they're back to their old self.

I DID go to one of Jim Crotty's classes
("Mental Preparation For Armed Confrontations") and it was AWESOME. It is a class taught nationwide in the "Street Survival" format-but I don't know if he's still doing them-he suffered a heart attack a couple years ago-don't know if he's still teaching though.

I've been to four Street Survival Seminars over the past twenty years. The last one I attended was in June 2001. Street Survival is an excellent program which Calibre Press does a good job of keeping fresh. Despite the class being entirely audio-visual and lecture, the instructors keep the audience interested and involved.

I'm sure you'll enjoy the training. It's also a good opportunity to network. Be safe.

Excellent training, do the whole three day course and you won't regret it. I think it was honestly the only time I have ever sat in a class for more than twenty minutes and not yawned. The course book, which you fill out along the way (interactive learning), is worth its weight in gold, I keep mine handy to peek at.
