Thought this would be good info for you all:
Greetings from Explosive Ordnance Technologies, Inc. (EOTI) at the Cobb County Police/Fire Training Academy, where we will be hosting the long-awaited seminar, “Terrorism and Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD): Improving the Safety of Special Event Venues”
EOTI has been asked to set aside seats for members of police and fire departments, HAZMAT teams, First Responders, SWAT teams, EOD Teams, Security and patrol agencies, academic/university police personnel, and corrections facilities who are interested in receiving this valuable training on Terrorism and Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery.
As you will see from the attached document, this seminar will be one of the premiere events you will ever attend regarding Terrorism and WMD. No boring lectures or 2-hour discussions on the relationship between politics and terrorism—just up-to-date information and guidelines, intelligence and first-hand knowledge from the leaders of the Counterterrorism and WMD fields and agencies.
From our impressive line-up of special guest speakers, our K9 and Bomb Squad demonstrations, to our "biometric" and explosives detection technology displays, this seminar is like no other.
Following these demonstrations/displays EOTI will take all participants on a tour of the three Atlanta area bombing sites: Centennial Olympic Park, the Sandy Springs Women’s Clinic, and the Otherside Lounge. Special guest speakers and former GBI members of the Eric Robert Rudolph Task Force will give personal insight on what happened during those terrorist attacks.
We are honored to be able to present this training at the Cobb County Police/Fire Training Academy in Marietta, Georgia, on April 25-26, 2002.
If you've never been to the facility, you will be impressed; Commander Storey has a dynamic staff of officers and their facility is state of the art!
You and your officers are invited to attend this unique training seminar and we are happy to offer discount rates for groups. This discount rate offer expires on April 5, 2002, so please get your applications in as soon as possible!
Unfortunately you get very little credit for your part in the War on Terrorism from the media and other news outlets, but EOTI knows it is you— Police and First Responders— who are on the front lines of this war in America.
We look at this as a “Train the Trainer” course, so that your attendees can take their knowledge back to share with and teach others, which is why we strongly encourage you to consider at least sending a training officer.
I must advise you however, to get your application faxed back to our NJ headquarters as soon as possible so that we can reserve your spots in the class. Our finance office will arrange payment with your budget personnel at a later date. We are happy to reserve seats for prior to payment, with just the faxed application (which is attached).
All participants will receive an individual Certificate of Training in Advanced Terrorism and Weapons of Mass Destruction Mitigation from EOTI. Each Department/Agency sending personnel to the seminar will receive a Letter of Certification from EOTI stating it has successfully completed Advanced Terrorism and Weapons of Mass Destruction Preparedness Training from a licensed Department of Defense contractor. We are coordinating with POST to on hand to evaluate the course, which would then result in “back credit” once the certification process, is complete.
If you have not already signed up, we hope you take advantage of this rare and unique training. We particularly encourage that you send a member or members of your Training Division, as this seminar is essentially a "Train the Trainer" course.
You can get more information, such as discount hotel details, by visiting our website at www.EOTI.net (http://www.EOTI.net) (click on "Training Events" on the left side of the screen), and also see the amazing services, products and training EOTI provides to the government and private sector in the fields of Counterterrorism, WMD mitigation, EOD, Risk Assessments and Ordnance/Explosives remediation.
If for some reason you cannot attend the seminar, EOTI thanks you in advance for your service to our communities.
We look forward to your attendance and please feel free to call us for more information or to discuss larger group discounts.
Best Regards,
