4x4 / offroad driving instructor courses

Our department has leased an Expedition for use in patroling off-road areas ... now I need to look for an instructor's course in order to train our officers (who have a hard time driving on pavement sometimes).

I seem to recall San Diego and / or San Bernardino <sp?> having some kind of classes, maybe?

I seem to remember an article in either 4WHEEL DRIVE & SPORT UTILITY MAGAZINE or JP magazine that featured LE off-road driving courses. Don't remember which one.

Although I've never taken the course, LASD does have a class on 4x4 operation.
