Occult Training

Does any officer know of a good training class that focuses on teaching LE officers about cults, the occult, and deviant behavior?? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You might try contacting Lt. Houston Johnson of the Harker Heights P.D. in Texas. I don't have a phone number handy, but you shouldn't have trouble finding it. Houston is about the most intelligent LEO I know, and he has connections in all areas of law enforcement. A few years ago, the occult was his main area of expertise, and if he can't help you directly, he can steer you in the right direction.

There was a woman police officer with the LAPD that came to New Orleans and gave a seminar. That was her expertise and I was handling a number of the cases at the time. Can't remember here name.

Last year I went to a conference put on by the Virginia Gang Investigators Assn (http://www.vgia.org/) that had several hours of good occult training. I think we have some more coming up soon, email me direct and I'll get you the work # of our regional VP.
