SYVAETS System

Has anyone in corrections or l.e. heard of or know any thing about the Syvaets system?
I read a small paragraph in a article about the system, in that it is a new "high tech" machine that can be used to drug test everyone that is arrested. Testing is conducted at booking. This new machine/system allows for large scale drug testing for about a cost of $1.00 per test. According to the article, the syvaets system is being used in Alabama.
If anyone has any info on the system it would be most appreciated.

Not quite sure of the system you mentioned but our prison currently uses "Instant Test Cups" which are very accurate and give results immediately. The only downside is cost, about $35.00 a cup. At first we were using them on everyone but now the admin. only wants us to use them on questionable subjects along with a report why we felt we needed to. I'd be intrested in learning about the system you mentioned also.

Our Institution is currently using the ION scan which is used by the military. It sniffs any artical or person. The sample is placed in the machine and you recieve a instant reading if the person is dirty. we use this machine on offenders as well as their visits.
It has been used by local department to test dope money and other items as well.
