how do you work your O.H.A.S in your prison we have a 5 man team of reps,if a problem occurs it is given to us in a report we act on it within 24 hours,if management dont agrre to our problem solving and they have a better one we work on it if nothing happens management wise we invoke the act this usually incurs a P.I.N provisional improvement notice we give them 72 hours to fix the problem as the act can turn correctional acts over it is acted on pretty fastwe also work in conjunction with our unionany new products ie-latex gloves are being bought in for searches etc,the O.H.A.S reps test them before they are sanctioned for use, because we are safety reps we also have to make sure the crims cells are ok ie-safe for use,no hanging points etc we hold a meeting of the reps every month to table and discuss new problems and how to fix them..money or budgets do not enter into it if it, has to be done it is. let me know how you do yours and feel free to e/mail me maybe we can help one another :)
