CDCR Teaching positions

I realize this forum is dedicated to LE. My hope is that I can get some help with regards to teaching positions within CDCR. Since the budgets cuts are far reaching in CA I would imagine teaching positions are being cut as well, I am correct in my assumption?

Any general thoughts on teaching within the state prisons?

Your assumption is correct. Not only in the prison setting, but in the public sector as well. Teachers are getting hit hard with layoffs and furloughs.

Teaching within the prisons....The institution I work at teachers consist of putting a tv in front of the inmates and playing movies everyday to keep their concentration...or the xbox 360 is a great hit too. It's very rare I walk into a classroom and see teaching.
